A reversibility-gain model for integer Karhunen-Loève transform design in video coding

摘要: Karhunen-Loève transform (KLT) is the optimal transform that minimizes distortion at a given bit allocation for Gaussian source. As a KLT matrix usually contains non-integers, integer-KLT design is a classical problem. In this paper, a joint reversibility-gain (R-G) model is proposed for integer-KLT design in video coding. Specifically, the ‘reversibility’ is modeled according to distortion analysis in using forward and inverse integer transform without quantization. It not only measures how invertible a transform is, but also bounds the distortion introduced by the non-orthonormal integer transform process. The ‘gain’ means transform coding gain (TCG), which is a widely used criterion for transform design in video coding. Since KLT maximizes the TCG under some assumptions, here we define the TCG loss ratio (LR) to measure how much coding gain an integer-KLT loses when compared with the original KLT. Thus, the R-G model can be explained as follows: subject to a certain TCG LR, an integer-KLT with the best reversibility is the optimal integer transform for a given non-integer-KLT. Experimental results show that the R-G model can guide the design of integer-KLTs with good performance.

An improved low-complexity sum-product decoding algorithm for low-density parity-check codes

摘要: In this paper, an improved low-complexity sum-product decoding algorithm is presented for low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes. In the proposed algorithm, reduction in computational complexity is achieved by utilizing fast Fourier transform (FFT) with time shift in the check node process. The improvement in the decoding performance is achieved by utilizing an optimized integer constant in the variable node process. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm achieves an overall coding gain improvement ranging from 0.04 to 0.46 dB. Moreover, when compared with the sum-product algorithm (SPA), the proposed decoding algorithm can achieve a reduction of 42%-67% of the total number of arithmetic operations required for the decoding process.

Gain-enhanced reconfigurable radiation array with mechanically driven system and directive elements

摘要: In the artificial intelligence-driven modern wireless communication system, antennas are required to be reconfigurable in terms of size according to changing application scenarios. However, conventional antennas with constant phase distributions cannot achieve enhanced gains in different reconfigurable sizes. In this paper, we propose a mechanically reconfigurable radiation array (RRA) based on miniaturized elements and a mechanically reconfigurable system to obtain gain-enhanced antennas in compact and deployed states. A five-element RRA with a phase-reconfigurable center element is designed and analyzed theoretically. The experimental sample has been fabricated, driven by a deployable frame with only one degree of freedom to realize the size and phase distribution reconfiguration simultaneously to validate the enhanced gains of RRA. The proposed RRA can be tessellated into larger arrays to achieve higher gains in other frequency regimes, such as terahertz or photonics applications with nanometer fabrication technology.

FUNCTIONAL GAIN OF FRUIT NETTED-CRACKING IN AN INTROGRESSION LINE OF TOMATO WITH HIGHER EXPRESSION OF

摘要:

Fruit cracking is a major disorder that affects the integrity of fruit and reduces the commercial value of tomato and other fleshy fruit. Here, we have found a novel fruit ‘netted-cracking’ (FNC) phenotype in tomato introgression line IL4-4 which is present in neither the donor parent (LA0716) nor the receptor parent (M82). An F2 population was generated by crossing IL4-4 with M82 to genetically characterize the FNC gene and this showed that a single dominant gene determined fruit netted-cracking. Further map-based cloning narrowed down the FNC locus to a 230 kb region on chromosome 4. Sequencing and annotation analysis show that FNC(Solyc04 g082540) was the most likely candidate gene. Functional characterization of FNC by overexpressing FNCAC and FNCIL4-4resulted in the fruit netted-cracking phenotype, suggesting that the FNC transcript level results in the functional gain of fruit netted-cracking. These findings were further confirmed by FNC ortholog in netted-cracking pepper and melon, indicating a common regulatory mechanism in different plant species. Furthermore, cytoplasm and nucleus-localized FNC indicates increased expression of genes involved in suberin, lignin, lipid transport and cell wall metabolism. These findings provide novel genetic insights into fruit netted-cracking and offer a way to promote molecular improvement toward cracking resistant cultivars.

Research and implementation of flexible coding system oriented multi-view

摘要: On the basis of the requirements of a product data management system (PDM) for the flexible coding system, the principle of the flexible coding system oriented multi-view is analyzed. Generation and utilization of coding should be associated with the context of the object. The architecture of the flexible coding system oriented multi-view is studied and the implementation class diagram of the system is designed. The system can support the establishment of five types of code segments, provide the tools of flexible defining coding rules and drive the automatic generation of object coding in different views (contexts). On the foundation of the characteristics of the system, coding for parts is taken as a sample to validate and elaborate the flexible coding process of the system.

由于分形图像编码过程非常费时,因此在前人的基础上,通过分析影响分形图像编码速度的相关因素,提出了使用图像块的改进方差来提高分形压缩性能的思想。在证明迭代函数系统不会改变图像块的改进方差的基础上,给出了基于改进方差的分形图像压缩方法。实验结果说明该方法在保证快速性的同时,重建图像的质量又得到了进一步的提高。

面向网络编码的无证书多重签名方法 Research Article

摘要: 比起具有转储功能的传统路由技术,网络编码能节省网络资源且速度快。但在实际应用场景中,网络编码容易受到污染攻击和伪造攻击。本文针对这些问题提出面向网络编码的无证书广播多重签名(NC-CLBMS)方法,每个源节点用户生成对消息向量的多重签名,中间节点将接收到的数据线性组合。NC-CLBMS是一种多源的多重签名方法,具有抗污染和防止伪造攻击的功能;此外,它还具有固定的签名长度和较高的计算效率。本文设计的NC-CLBMS在无人机通信网络、5G无线网络、无线传感器网络、移动无线网络和车联网等方面具有广泛应用前景。

Global transcriptome analysis for identification of interactions between coding and noncoding RNAs during

Studies on coding genes, miRNAs, and lncRNAs during erythroid development have been performed in recent years. However, analysis focusing on the integration of the three RNA types has yet to be done. In the present study, we compared the dynamics of coding genes, miRNA, and lncRNA expression profiles. To explore dynamic changes in erythropoiesis and potential mechanisms that control these changes in the transcriptome level, we took advantage of high throughput sequencing technologies to obtain transcriptome data from cord blood hematopoietic stem cells and the following four erythroid differentiation stages, as well as from mature red blood cells. Results indicated that lncRNAs were promising cell marker candidates for erythroid differentiation. Clustering analysis classified the differentially expressed genes into four subtypes that corresponded to dynamic changes during stemness maintenance, mid-differentiation, and maturation. Integrated analysis revealed that noncoding RNAs potentially participated in controlling blood cell maturation, and especially associated with heme metabolism and responses to oxygen species and DNA damage. These regulatory interactions were displayed in a comprehensive network, thereby inferring correlations between RNAs and their associated functions. These data provided a substantial resource for the study of normal erythropoiesis, which will permit further investigation and understanding of erythroid development and acquired erythroid disorders.

摘要: 向量量化用于语音与图像编码可有效减小带宽和存储开销。根据码书生成过程,可将传统向量量化方法分为7类:树形向量量化、直和向量量化、迪卡尔积向量量化、格子向量量化、基于分类的向量量化、反馈向量量化以及模糊向量量化。在过去10年中,基于向量量化的近似近邻搜索发展迅速,涌现大量在大规模数据集内存中搜索图像的编码方法。这些方法的一个显著特征是使用多个码书,形成两种新的码书结构:线性组合码书和联合码书,这将成为未来发展趋势。这些方法用于近似近邻搜索的本质是在速度、准确率和空间开销之间权衡,有时其中一个会受损。因此,找到一个在速度、准确率和空间开销中平衡的向量量化方法依然是一个值得研究的问题。

5G最小代价多播网络中的次优编码子图算法 None

摘要: 为降低具有控制—数据分离架构的5G网络中多播的传输代价,本文关注无线网络中两多播共存时的功率代价最小网络编码子图形成问题。提出两个基于Steiner树的扩展次优算法:当两个具有相同吞吐量的多播组共存时,C1CPE算法通过复用拓扑中已经占用链路的方式寻找可行的最小代价方案,并采用节点涂色的方式保证网络编码方案可解码。另外,针对两多播组的源点和目的点相同的特殊情况,在C1CPE算法基础上提出E-SCTF算法。此算法精简了涂色方案,通过理论分析可知此算法复杂度比C1CPE算法低。仿真结果表明,两个算法在功率代价上都有良好表现,在密集部署下性能仍可进一步提升。

重复镜头视频基于分级B帧结构的长期预测编码方案 None

摘要: 最新视频编码标准——高效视频编码(HEVC)——获得了远高于之前视频编码标准的编码效率。特别是,在使用分级B帧预测结构时,HEVC可显著去除临近图像间的时间冗余。实际中,消费者使用的视频——例如电视剧、电影和脱口秀等——通常包含了很多重复镜头。据我们观察,这些视频在分级B帧结构下使用HEVC编码时,每个镜头的时域相关性可以得到很好利用。然而,重复镜头之间的长期相关性并未被使用。我们提出一种长期预测方案,以利用视频中重复镜头之间的长期时域相关性。首先,聚类源视频中的相似镜头并从中抽取代表性图像作为长期参考帧。然后,使用长期参考帧对分级B帧的编码结构进行调整,以实现长期时域预测。最后,为长期参考帧设计一种自适应量化方法,以提高整体的视频编码效率。实验表明,提出的新编码方案可获得高达22.86%的编码性能增益。

Changes in lncRNAs and related genes in β-thalassemia minor and β-thalassemia major

β-thalassemia is caused by β-globin gene mutations. However, heterogeneous phenotypes were found in individuals with same genotype, and still undescribed mechanism underlies such variation. We collected blood samples from 30 β-thalassemia major, 30 β-thalassemia minor patients, and 30 matched normal controls. Human lncRNA Array v2.0 (8 × 60 K, Arraystar) was used to detect changes in long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) and mRNAs in three samples each from β-thalassemia major, β-thalassemia minor, and control groups. Compared with normal controls, 1424 and 2045 lncRNAs were up- and downregulated, respectively, in β-thalassemia major patients, whereas 623 and 349 lncRNAs were up- and downregulated, respectively, in β-thalassemia minor patients. Compared with β-thalassemia minor group, 1367 and 2356 lncRNAs were up- and downregulated, respectively, in β-thalassemia major group. We selected five lncRNAs that displayed altered expressions (DQ583499, X-inactive specific transcript (Xist), lincRNA-TPM1, MRFS16P, and lincRNA-RUNX2-2) and confirmed their expression levels in all samples using real-time polymerase chain reaction. Based on coding-non-coding gene co-expression network and gene ontology biological process analyses, several signaling pathways were associated with three common organ systems exhibiting β-thalassemia phenotypes: hematologic, skeletal, and hepatic systems. This study implicates that abnormal expression levels of lncRNAs and mRNA in β-thalassemia cases may be correlated with its various clinical phenotypes.

摘要: 无线协作下载系统中广泛采用密集网络编码。无线设备具有计算资源有限的特点,研究表明密集网络编码的解码复杂度过高,无法用于无线协作下载系统。因此,有必要结合分代网络编码。然而,分代网络编码会引起额外的系统通信量,且通信增加量与分代大小相关。因此,合理设置分代大小,从而提升分代网络编码的整体性能,对无线协作下载的实际应用具有重要意义。现有分代网络编码方面的研究大多针对集中式广播系统,不能适应无线协作下载系统的无中心特性。据此,研究基于分代网络编码的无线协作下载系统性能分析和优化问题。首先,针对无线协作下载系统的无中心特性,提出基于马尔可夫过程的系统分析模型;然后,在系统分析模型基础上,对协作下载系统的编码块收集完成时间进行优化;最后,使用排队论给分代网络编码解码过程建模,进一步结合系统分析模型,提出最小化协作下载解码完成时间的方法,并推导出最优分代大小设置方法。数值模拟结果表明,经过优化,无线协作下载系统的编码块收集完成时间和文件解码完成时间大大缩短。
